Data Sheets

When I was employed at Reve UK Ltd I was chiefly responsible for web design and creating technical data sheets. The data sheets were principally created using Adobe Indesign and Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is preferable to Photoshop for the job because you can create vector graphics which can be resized to any required dimensions. An image created in illustrator can be 4cm wide or 40cm wide without losing any quality. The examples shown in my portfolio constitute a cross section of the many data sheets I produced, and demonstrate my expertise in using both applications. Although the sheets were created in Indesign all the drawings were hand drawn by myself in Illustrator.

Some of the technical data sheets required CAD drawings. This was a new venture for me as my area of expertise is in 3Ds Max. However, after just two weeks I learned how to proficiently use Autodesk Inventor. The software allows you to build 3D models to precision measurements. The versatility of Inventor is that models created in this software can be used in other applications like 3Ds Max. This allows you to create professional visualisations for projects and industry products. There are two examples of these technical data sheets using Inventor in the following pages.

My greatest skill is to quickly adapt to new software, and take on new ideas.
