Games and Programming

I have since my formative years, had a keen interest in programming and game design. I like to try out new concepts, create stunning graphics and break new ground. I am proficient in C++, C#, VBA, php, and JQuery. I have written my own programs to store data and create functional programs. I have also invented many 2D/3D computer games.

My passion in 3D modelling began because I enjoyed developing my own computer games. Therefore, I needed to become proficient in making 3D characters and models. You can see the rocket ship from the adventures of Tintin buried in the hillside on the various page. This was intended as a low poly model and was made for a short demo using the Unity 3D engine.

I also developed a child friendly version of the popular ‘Hangman’ game for the PC. The game featured a funky robot character instead of a man. The game was programmed from scratch using directx sdk.

Missile command was a game I made which was loosely based on the old 80’s game of the same name, but with some extra bells and whistles. The 2D graphics were actually built in 3D to give a 3D look, even though the game is actually 2D.

Tomopoly (based on Monopoly) is a work in progress programmed using the irrlicht engine. I am hoping to improve the shaders and I am thinking about porting it over to the Unreal engine. The board graphics I made in illustrator, based on the original 1970’s board design.

Thomthello was another 2D game I made based on the game Othello, using my name as a play on words.
